From the Executive Director ~ We are in the middle of our 2007 United Arts Fund campaign and need your gift to ensure support of our programs! More than ever, we need your support in keeping our great programs going, as well as our innovative new ideas. ARTSBRIDGE has operated in the Mid-Ohio Valley for over twenty years and we tie our community together through the arts. We help make the Mid-Ohio Valley a better place to live and a better place to do business. Our new strategic plan went into effect in 2007 and identifies three key focus areas. * Arts in Education * Arts Programs * Innovation in the Arts Each year over 16,000 students in Wood County, WV and Washington County, OH participate in arts programs including our Catalog of 25 local artists who make visits into the schools to showcase/teach their particular art form, and our Tours-in-the-Schools where three professional performing tours visit the schools. We continue to support seven arts groups in both counties as well as individual artists who need our help. In addition se sponsor the Mayor's Music Series, Very Special Arts festival, Marietta Merchants and Artists Walk, and others. Our newest project -- The Labyrinth Project: Walking one Path Together - just got funded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph Charitable Fund!! Yes, we are busy! The arts do mean business! It is important to all of us to have cultural activities that help us attract and keep good employees in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Pamela Martino Executive Director ARTSBRIDGE
