Lesley Kuhl                              Harpist     

Lesley introduces students to the beautiful music of the concert harp, providing information on various types of harps and styles of harp music.  She explains methods of learning the harp, including Suzuki and traditional/classical.  Lesley demonstrates the versatility of this unique instrument with contemporary and classical pieces.  This is an opportunity for students to learn about and enjoy the music of the harp!

Grades: K-6  Time: approx. 45 minutes; Availability: flexible with notice. Entire school presentations require 2 units.

Lesley has studied the harp for nine years with a variety of instructors: Jan Bishop, Findlay, OH (lever harp); Mary Jane Rupert, Cambridge, MA (pedal harp); Lucille Jennings, Athens, OH.  She was a member of the Massachusetts Harp Ensemble from 1999-2002.  Lesley made her concert debut in 1995 and has continued to perform at concerts, recitals, and public events to the present day.
