 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CATALOG USE

Each participating school is entitled to five artist selections during the school year. (Click on Participating Schools to find out it your school is a participating school)  Decisions may be made by the principal, the faculty, or an individual teacher who has been designated to choose the artists for your school.  You should always designate an ARTSBRIDGE representative in your school who will make contact with artists and keep records, maintaining continuity and following all steps correctly.

1.    Contact the artists you would like to have visit your school.  Provide artist with name of classroom teacher with whom he/she can discuss curriculum connections.

2.    Using the Catalog Form as a guide, confirm dates, times, etc. with the artist.  Be very clear about how many selections will be used.  An artist SELECTION is an agreed upon unit of instruction offered by the artist.  ARTSBRIDGE pays artists by the selection, so you must clarify with your artist how many selections will be necessary, since one may do a whole afternoon of classes as one selection, whereas another may require two selections for an afternoon of classes.

REMEMBER, your school has five (5) selections to use.  Any additional selections must be paid for by your school.  THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY.  It will be the responsibility of the participating school to keep records of how many selections are used, and all five artist selections must be used in this school year.  Selections cannot be carried over.

3.    After an artist has given his/her presentation, complete school portion of the Catalog Form.  Artist will fill in appropriate part and send to us.  Click here for  Catalog form  Artist will return copy to Artsbridge for payment.

4.    On the day of the performance, the artist will complete the form, which must then be signed by your designated representative.  The artist is responsible for submitting the form to ARTSBRIDGE as soon as possible.

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY DIFFICULTIES with this program, whether in scheduling or with the performance itself, please notify ARTSBRIDGE, at 304/428-3988, or 740/350-5204 or gtorres@suddenlinkmail.com    With over 250 artist visits in schools each year, we must count on your input to maintain our high standards.  We appreciated all constructive feedback.
