Ted Banning - Woodwork/Colonial Silversmith/Blacksmith

Ted, an award winning artist, demonstrates a variety of artwork in different mediums. Students learn the whole production process from design to completion and also explore the relationship of history and art. Ted's work is fascinating; his presentation, informative and truly unique. Perfect as a complement to historical themes and periods.

Ted received his B.A. in history, as a Stukes Scholar at Francis Marion University. He has had formal training in metal work and extensive classes in art and engineering. Ted produces art works for collectors and educators around the world. He teaches classes in metal working and speaks on his craft to various community groups.

Age level: grades 4-6 Time: approximately 45 minutes. Availability: flexible with notice Requirements: two 4 to 5 feet long tables in front of classroom. Study guide provided
